Raising a Child of Possibility

We are so pleased to showcase this very special TedX Video, Raising a Child of Possibility, with Hugh Weber and his beautiful daughter Emerson.

We encourage you to take a few minutes to watch it. We think you’ll be inspired. Who knows? You might even look to rediscover your own sense of wonder and joy.


As a parent of a student at Baan Dek, we were just thrilled to see Hugh on stage. He demonstrated the Montessori spirit, with such charmisma and insight, while still managing to navigate his own terrain.

We couldn’t be more proud.

Well, to be fair, what impressed us the most was to see Emerson’s courageous stage debut. She’s only four. TedX Fargo billed her “as one of the youngest TedX presenters ever”. Did you see her greet the crowd? “Hello, Fargo!” she exclaims.

We have no doubt that soon the entire world will hear Emerson’s voice, on a stage of her own creation. Way to go Webers!
