We Communicate Effectively

One could argue that our job is communication. We are communicating when we observe a child, notice what they are ready for, and present them with a material. We are constantly communicating with the children, through our actions, words, and even emotional cues.

We communicate with families, from initial inquiries to tours to sending photos and updates about a child’s progress. In order to implement the first two of our five guiding principles, We’re All Learning and We Can Always Improve, we must communicate with one another.

We provide and receive guidance, suggestions, and coaching. We ask questions, presume positive intent, and help one another grow. In this podcast, Charlotte Wood describes some of the ways we communicate effectively.
